If you thought you’d have to wait for the convention before hearing from international explorer Franz-Peter Mullenholz we’ve got a great surprise. He’ll be in Brisbane before he and Gunther head off on the next leg of his Australian trek and while he’s here he’s stopping in to give us a presentation including his latest exploits rainbowfishing in New Guinea.

We’ll also have a visit from Port Macquarie clownfish breeders Jennifer and Jack, with Adrian Dawson presenting a video of their setup. It’s possibly the biggest in Australia and has an extraordinary array of domesticated clownfish breeds. And, perhaps most significantly of all, it’s part of a school programme – so kids are picking up  aquarium and fish husbandry skills. I’m starting to wish I’d gone to school in Port Macquarie…

If you’re not a member please feel free to come and have a look. The club shop with dry goods and supplies will be open, as will the drinks stand. There’ll be an auction after the talks where anyone can buy, though you must be a member to register as a seller.

The next ANGFA Qld meeting is at the Bar Jai hall – 178 Alexandra Road, Clayfield. Friday night 14/6/2013 starting at 7:30 pm sharp!
